The Why behind us: 
The Bearded Dog Co. was born from a straightforward vision: crafting items that embody my passions. With an artful focus, I create purposeful pieces which seamlessly integrate into the lifestyle I cherish and hold in high esteem.

What inspired the choice of the name "Bearded Dog Co." and what significance does it hold?
Being a devoted sportsman, I hold the belief that one of the most captivating spectacles in the world is the art and dance between Dog and Bird. Naming my company after our Hungarian Wirehaired Vizslas was an unequivocal decision. To grasp the depth of my passion for our Vizslas, the land, and its creatures, consider this excerpt from a journal entry after a fall day in Montana, 2022:

The Fall air in Montana was crisp as I walked the rolling grassy fields, my two bird dogs, Dunham and Henry, at my side. Engaged in an upland hunting trip, we sought pheasants and grouse amidst the rolling hills of the vast Northern Plains.
The connection to the land was undeniable—the wide-open sky, unobstructed by man-made structures, and the wind sweeping through the grass created a sensory symphony. Fully present, I scoured the fields, my mind clear and focused.
Dunham and Henry, equally attuned, navigated the landscape with keen senses, their excitement evident in their eyes and wagging tails. As we made our way back to the truck as the sun set on the landscape, a profound sense of gratitude enveloped me. The wild, rugged beauty of the northern Plains had connected me to the earth in a way unmatched elsewhere—a feeling of freedom and connection that would be cherished forever.
Amidst the vast grasslands, the pursuit of my passions became the focal point of the next chapter of life. With Dunham and Henry, the open expanse became a sanctuary. A low glowing sun, and an invigorating gentle breeze underscored their passionate pursuit as we traversed the plains, reflecting on the parallels between an aspirational entrepreneurial journey and valued traits in the business world.
